Each adhesive label must display several specific pieces of information. Votre Étiquette's online editor allows you to edit the producer's contact details, geographical origin, net weight and product-specific information from a browser.   • Product name The designation “Honey” must appear clearly. It may be accompanied by a floral or geographical origin, such as acacia honey, chestnut honey or lavender honey, where this origin is justified.
  • Net quantity and best-before date These details must appear in the same visual field as the sales description. They can be edited in the editor, particularly for a 500 g honey label.
  • Name and address of the producer : the full name, address and, where applicable, telephone number of the beekeeper or packer are mandatory. This information must remain legible and indelible.

Certain wording is prohibited: “local honey”, “natural honey” and “pure honey” may not appear on a honey jar label. “French honey” or “mountain honey” are permitted if the actual origin justifies it. The wording “Harvested and jarred by the beekeeper” may also appear on the front label to emphasize the artisanal nature of the product.

The origin and best-before date of flower honey (and others!)

For a blend originating from several regions or countries, such as flower honey harvested from several foraging areas, all origins must be listed in descending order of weight.
